My Control Unit will not connect to the CIONIC app

Experiencing Bluetooth connection issues with your CIONIC device? Don't worry—this is a common challenge that can typically be resolved with a few simple steps. This guide walks you through the process of reconnecting your CIONIC Control Unit by first disconnecting it from your device's Bluetooth settings and then re-establishing the connection through the CIONIC App. If you continue to experience difficulties, we've also included instructions for performing a factory reset, which resolves most persistent connectivity issues. Follow these step-by-step instructions to get your device back up and running quickly.

 

Troubleshooting Bluetooth Connectivity

Check your Phone  Bluetooth Connection:
  • For iOS Devices: 

      • Open the Settings app: On your home screen, tap the Settings icon.
      • Go to Bluetooth: Tap Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
      • Find the CIONIC Control unit: Under "My Devices," locate the CIONIC Control unit. It will be listed with a name like "CIONIC NS00" followed by a few digits.
      • Forget the device: Tap the i icon next to the device name. In the device details, select Forget This Device.
      • Confirm your choice: When prompted, tap Forget Device to confirm.
 
  • For Android Devices: 
      • Open the Settings app: On your phone's home screen, locate and tap the Settings icon.
      • Navigate to Connections: Scroll down and select Connections.
      • Go to Bluetooth: In the Connections menu, tap on Bluetooth. Ensure Bluetooth is turned on
      • View paired devices: You'll see a list of devices that are currently paired with your phone. Find the Control Unit (it should be named CIONIC NS00 and 3 other digits)
      • Forget the Device: Tap on the gear icon (⚙️) next to the device name. In the device settings, select Forget or Unpair.
      • Confirm the action: You may be asked to confirm your choice. Simply select Forget Device to complete the process.
After disconnecting the device, return to the CIONIC App, ensuring your Control Unit is plugged into the wall. Tap the Control Unit icon, select “New Control Unit,” and follow the prompts to pair your device again. Once paired, plug your Control Unit back into your sleeve.

Perform a Factory Reset:

    1. Plug your device into its wall charger.
    2. Hold down the power button until you see blinking red lights (approximately 10 seconds).
    3. As soon as they begin blinking, release and click the power button once.
    4. Light should be solid red, then turn white before pulsing orange.
    5. Press the button once more and the light will flash blue
    6. Open the CIONIC app.
    7. Click the Control Unit icon at the top right corner of the homepage.
    8. Select "add a new control unit."
    9. Follow the prompts to pair.
